Devir has launched an application compatible with iOS, Android and Steam to play Diego Ibáñez's classic.
Relive the epic rivalry between London's two greatest minds from your mobile device with the Holmes App. Devir and Kaneda Games have joined forces to develop the interactive version of the classic Holmes: Sherlock & Mycroft, a board game for two players, play by Diego Ibáñez, with illustrations by Pedro Soto. This is the first adaptation of a Devir board game in an application format for mobile devices and PC.
Available in Spanish, Catalan, English and Portuguese, the application allows you to consult the rules, practice in a very detailed tutorial and play games in the classic mode or in the advanced mode, either against another player or against an artificial intelligence. For matches against the AI, players can choose from three difficulty levels: easy, medium, or hard. The Holmes App is compatible with iOS, Android and PC operating systems and can be downloaded completely free of charge from the App Store, Google Play or Steam stores. In addition, its cross-platform configuration allows players with different operating systems to play with each other. In other words, a player with an iPhone and another with an Android device can connect to the application and face each other online without any problem.
In the game Holmes: Sherlock & Mycroft, the characters created by the pen of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle face off to solve the case of a mysterious explosion in the British Parliament at the end of the 19th century. Mycroft will seek to prove the guilt of the young palette Michael Chapman, who is associated with anarchist groups. Sherlock, however, will take care of defending him, after the order of his humble family. Throughout the game, the two brothers will collect clue cards and pieces of a mysterious plan of the parliament to solve the case
The investigation lasts seven turns, in which the players will visit different characters from the Sherlock Holmes narrative universe (Doctor Watson, Irene Adler, Inspector Lestrade, Mrs. Hudson...) to obtain magnifying glass tokens and clue cards that will bring them closer to its objective. With hand management mechanics, open drafting, set collection and worker placement, the game is very easy to learn, but has great strategic depth that will test the ingenuity of the players. On the other hand, the art of Pedro Soto, present in the cards, manages to convey the entire essence of Victorian London in each game.
In advanced mode, Holmes and Mycroft must face the threat of two villains they know very well: the feared Professor Moriarty and the murderous Sebastian Moran. These characters will complicate the investigation of the two brothers by eliminating clues or making them useless workers that they will not be able to count on during a turn.Holmes App is the second application launched by the publisher after Devir Companion, the perfect complement for your board game games that includes a point and life counter, a dice thrower, a timer or a system to determine the starting player.
