Risky Mixes: Watch out for what you drink!

Welcome to the witch's experiment! She needs guinea pigs to test her new potions, and we, her loyal goblin minions, have been designated as forced volunteers for this occasion. The goal of this hilarious board game is simple but deadly: to be the only surviving goblin. If you manage to survive the witch's deadly potions as the last goblin standing, you win the game!

To start playing, separate the cards into different decks: deadly potions, safe potions, goblin cards, and action cards. Each player receives a goblin card (placed on the table with the "alive goblin" side facing up), one deadly potion, three safe potions, and a valuable antidote token. Players shuffle their potion cards and place them face down, side by side, next to their goblin card. The action card deck is shuffled and placed face down in the center of the table within everyone's reach. And watch out for this detail: the player with the greenest skin goes first! In case of a tie, whoever can make the best goblin impression starts.

The game is played in turns, moving clockwise. During their turn, each goblin draws the top card from the action deck, reads the instructions out loud, and executes the card's action. Most of these cards will indicate which goblin or goblins must "drink". Drinking means choosing one of your face-down potions at random and flipping it over.

When drinking, you face three possible fates:

  1. Safe Potion: Nothing happens! At most, you might get a couple of pimples, your head might grow, or you'll grow a third eye, but nothing to worry about. You stay alive and continue participating in the witch's fun experiment.
  2. Deadly Potion without an Antidote: You turn into a ghost. Flip your goblin card over to reveal the goblin ghost side and discard all your potions.
  3. Deadly Potion with an Antidote: If you have an antidote, you can use it to prevent yourself from turning into a ghost and stay alive. Using an antidote is not mandatory.

If you ever run out of potions because you drank them all, you must immediately take one safe potion and one deadly potion, shuffle them face down in your play area, and keep playing.

Did you turn into a ghost? The game isn't over for you! Ghost goblins continue to draw action cards when it's their turn. They have a huge advantage: they are not affected by drinking actions and do not have to follow the conditions of active spells. Additionally, if a ghost goblin draws a card with the ghost icon, they can choose a living goblin to suffer its effects. But the best part of all is that if you manage to make another goblin turn into a ghost during your turn, you resurrect instantly! You flip your goblin card back to the living side, take one safe potion and one deadly potion, shuffle them, and place them face down to rejoin the land of the living.

Absurd Spells and Guaranteed Laughs

The action deck is full of surprises, including Spell cards that completely shake up the table's dynamics. For example, under the "Respectful Spell," the player who cast it must be treated with respect and addressed by titles such as "Great Supreme Leader" or "Your Supreme Goblin Majesty," and absolutely cannot be addressed informally. The first living goblin to break any active spell's condition must immediately drink one of their potions. There are also "Positive, Negative, and Thirsty Spells," where the first player to say "Yes," "No," or "Drink" has to take a drink.

The game includes hilarious cards like group votes to decide who drinks ("Drink whoever the majority decides") or a "Toast!" where everyone drinks at the same time. And if you want to take things even further, blank cards are included so you can invent your own rules!

This addictive card game was created by José Manuel Fernández, features brilliantly comic illustrations by Ana Marco. Will you survive your companions and the witch's deadly potions, or will you end up floating in the afterlife waiting for your glorious resurrection?
