What the Heck is Fanhunter
Barnacity, Near Future
Welcome to Barnacity! Consider yourself under arrest. Comics, games of all types, movies, tv series, anything culture related is banned. If you’re reading this, we’ve found a way to get out our message without the Fanhunters finding and destroying this document. The Fanhunters are fanning out across the globe and we need to get our message out as far as we can.
But wait, wait, wait. How did we get here?
Years ago, we had fun. We watched The Big Bang Theory and were heavily anticipating the next Star Wars movie.
This was before Pope Alejo, our terrible dictator, even existed. It’s like “Days of Future Past” gone wrong.

Humanity has always been threatened – by famine, war, terrible presidents, and disease – but we always found a way to pull through. That was before the then-librarian Alejo Crow declared himself Pope and took control of Europe (and the whole world actually) with the mission of boring humanity to death.
That’s right, they wanted to bore us to death! Pope Alejo spreads a blanket of heavy sleepiness and content across the globe wiping out everything that keeps humanity creative.
How though? He uses his Papal police force, the Fanhunters to find and destroy every last Dragonball toy, Blood Bowl painted miniature, and signed Watchmen comic.

He wants us to keep our noses down and take it.
In the heart of Barnacity and in response to this suffocating dictatorship, The Resistance was born.

We’re Pandemic players, collectible-card connoisseurs, video game veterans, and superheroes at heart. When I say at heart, I really mean at heart. We are minimally-trained but all knowledgeable thanks to years of hobby. Using the skills gleaned through reading comics under the blanket in the middle of the night, we are humanity’s last chance.
We’ve got to forgive our differences and use our skills wisely. Star Trek and Star Wars fans need to come together fighting with surprisingly well-made and semi-functional light sabers and phasers. DC and Marvel fans fight alongside Bond and Bourne fans, Pokemon and YuGiOh players, and even die-hard How I Met Your Mother fans suit up to join the cause.
Join the fight. We need to expand our network outside of Barnacity.
May the force of gaming be with you,
Kyle Reace, proud member of The Resistance.
P.S. If you don’t believe me, check out the comic.
